Job summary

XRHealth is seeking an experienced accountant to manage all day-to-day accounting for XR USA from a Boston-area base. You will collaborate with the RCM team to monitor cash flow and close monthly books, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and expense allocations.

The role requires 3–5 years of full-cycle accounting, multi-entity experience, and strong Excel skills. Healthcare billing exposure is a plus, with a focus on timely month-end closes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 3–5 years of full-cycle accounting including accounts payable and month-end close.
• Experience in multi-entity environments and keeping entities cleanly separated.
• Comfort with Ramp and Rippling, or ability to pick up finance systems quickly.
• Strong Excel, attention to detail, and discipline to hit a monthly close.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily cash inflows/outflows, process receipts and payments, and code cash correctly.
• Process vendor bills, code to accounts/departments, route approvals, manage payables aging.
• Reconcile bank accounts monthly and address exceptions and fraud alerts.
• Record payroll expenses, employer taxes, and benefits to GL; HR processes payroll.
• Maintain entity registrations, annual reports, and state filings; keep a calendar.
• Prepare workpapers and tax packages for outside accounting firm to file returns.
• Onboard vendors with W-9s and verify banking details; manage contracts/insurance.
• Track hires/terminations and publish monthly headcount and payroll cost by dept.
• Review reimbursements and corporate card spend for policy compliance.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and balance sheet reconciliations; write variance commentary.
• Reconcile clinical and billing activity in Athelas to revenue, AR, and cash; flag variances.
