Job summary

XRHealth, a Boston-based digital health company, is seeking an accounting professional to own day-to-day activities for XR USA in Needham, MA. You will manage cash flows, vendor billing, payroll-related entries, tax workpapers, and monthly close while ensuring accurate intercompany accounting and compliance.

You will collaborate with RCM and finance teams to maintain clean books, support state filings, and deliver timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Three to five years of full-cycle accounting experience including accounts payable and month-end close.
• Experience in a multi-entity environment with clean separations.
• Comfort with Ramp and Rippling, or ability to pick up finance systems quickly.
• Strong Excel, high attention to detail, and discipline to hit a monthly close calendar.
• Healthcare or clinical services billing exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily cash flow, receipts, payments, and correct cash coding.
• Process vendor bills, code to accounts/departments, route approvals, manage payables aging.
• Reconcile monthly bank accounts, clear exceptions quickly, respond to fraud and alerts.
• Record payroll expenses, employer taxes, benefits, and related accruals in the GL.
• Maintain entity registrations, annual reports, and state filings; keep a filing calendar.
• Prepare workpapers, fixed asset depreciation schedules, and 1099s for tax filing.
• Onboard vendors with W-9s and verified banking details; track contracts and certificates of insurance.
• Track hires/terminations and publish monthly headcount and payroll cost by department.
• Prepare month-end close entries, accruals, prepaids, and balance sheet reconciliations; write variance commentary.
