Job summary

IFG US is seeking a Staff Accountant in the NW suburbs of Chicago to maintain accurate financial records and support month-end close, reporting, and compliance. This role partners across departments to provide financial insights and drive process efficiency.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting, with Sage Intacct proficiency and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, accounts payable, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with Sage Intacct and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication skills across departments.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead Month-End Close Activities by preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Perform Complex Account Reconciliations including balance sheet and intercompany accounts.
• Partner with Internal Teams and External Stakeholders to validate financial information and improve processes.
• Support Financial Reporting and Audit Preparation by compiling schedules and documentation.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities, ensuring timely processing and accurate coding.
• Monitor and analyze Operating Expenses, including allocations, tracking, and reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions and preparing journal entries.
