Job summary

Impact Environmental Group in Illinois seeks a Staff Accountant to support month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis. This role will assist the US Controller and streamline accounting processes.

The position involves collaboration with AR/AP teams, cost accounting tasks, and support during audits. A Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field and 3 years’ experience, plus strong Excel skills, are required. ERP familiarity (IQMS preferred) is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business with concentration in Accounting/Finance
• Minimum of three years of practical accounting experience in the manufacturing industry
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTable, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly accounting close process.
• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely.
• Prepare and analyze account reconciliations, including follow-up and closure of discrepancies.
• Assist with cost accounting tasks including material costs and labor/overhead rates.
• Provide hands-on assistance with financial and operational audits and assist with year-end audit.
• Coordinate with AR/AP teams to ensure activity is properly recorded in the GL.
