Garden Savings Federal Credit Union in Parsippany, NJ is seeking an entry-level Staff Accountant to support financial operations by recording, analyzing, and reporting transactions. The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and maintaining documentation to support audits and reviews.

You will prepare financial statements, reconcile accounts, assist with month-end close, and collaborate across departments to ensure timely, reliable reporting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of college coursework in business or accounting; four-year degree preferred.
• Credit union/banking experience preferred.
• Excellent math, written and verbal communication.
• Ability to multi-task with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Record and classify financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Support month-end close tasks.
• Assist internal audit by reviewing file maintenance.
• Post journal entries as needed.
• Mentor and train staff.
