Job summary

Nauticus Group in Parsippany, NJ is seeking an Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting tasks in accordance with GAAP and company policies. You will prepare journal entries, assist with month-end, quarterly, and year-end closings, and reconcile accounts to resolve discrepancies.

Responsibilities include supporting monthly/annual financial statements, performing P&L analysis, maintaining records, and aiding audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 4+ years of accounting experience.

A Leading Services Company located in Parsippany, NJ is searching for an Accountant who will have the following responsibilities:

• Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions in accordance with company policies, GAAP, and established accounting procedures.
• Prepare and post journal entries and assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
• Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and other balance sheet accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
• Perform P&L and account analysis to identify trends, variances, unusual activity, and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records, workpapers, files, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, and other month-end accounting adjustments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Partner with internal departments to resolve accounting questions, obtain supporting documentation, and ensure transactions are properly recorded.
• Provide supporting schedules and documentation and respond to inquiries during internal and external audits.
• Assist with special projects, process improvements, and other accounting-related responsibilities as needed.

Qualified candidates for the Staff Accountant role should possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 4+ years of experience

The total compensation range for this opportunity is $70,000 to $75,000 plus bonus with excellent benefits.
