Job summary

Atrium Staffing is seeking a Staff Accountant in New Jersey to support daily accounting, GL maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close. You will prepare financial reports, analyze data, and ensure timely reporting in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 2–5 years of accounting experience, strong Excel and ERP skills, and thorough attention to detail. Collaborative cross‑functional work and audits support are part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Close attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions for accuracy.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests.
• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and potential issues.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and GAAP.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on accounting and finance matters.
• Support additional accounting projects and responsibilities as needed.
