Job summary

Webco Industries, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to oversee a broad range of accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial data and compliance with GAAP.

You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, manage prepaid expenses, and support month-end close in a manufacturing environment. Collaboration with multiple departments and involvement in audits, system recommendations, and process improvements are key.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years accounting experience in corporate or public accounting.
• Proficient in GAAP, general ledger systems, and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite) and advanced Excel.
• CPA or progress toward certification.
• Manufacturing or industrial experience.
• Experience with Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing a wide range of accounting functions to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Prepare journal entries, execute reconciliations, and conduct financial reviews.
• Manage prepaid expense accounts and amortization schedules.
• Handle annual property tax filings and ensure timely submissions.
• Analyze financial data and present findings to support business planning and decision-making.
• Review and recommend changes to accounting systems and procedures to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and GAAP.
• Support audits by providing required documentation and resolving discrepancies.
