Job summary

Paycom Software Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to support accurate and timely accounting and financial reporting. The role prepares journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses, contributing to the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.

It requires strong detail orientation, ownership, and ongoing accounting knowledge development. The candidate will collaborate with the Accounting and Finance team to support general ledger activities, financial reporting, and cross-functional

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
3+ years of accounting experience, including GL, journal entries, and month-end close.
Experience with U.S. GAAP, reconciliations, and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

Prepare and own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Perform variance analysis and explain significant fluctuations.
Identify opportunities to strengthen processes, controls, doc, and close efficiency.
Assist with special projects, system implementations, and changes affecting financial reporting.
