Job summary

LHH is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, manage the monthly close, and deliver accurate financial reporting in Minnesota. You will lead a team, partner with senior leadership, and drive continuous improvements in controls and processes.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, ERP experience, and the ability to mentor staff while ensuring deadlines are met and budgets are analyzed for variance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations
• Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Support annual audits and coordinate requests from external auditors.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Mentor, train, and supervise accounting staff.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Partner with cross-functional departments on financial and operational initiatives.
