Atrium and our Florida client seek a Staff Accountant in Miami Beach to manage financial operations, ensure accuracy, and support reporting, budgeting, and analysis. The role emphasizes strong Excel skills and GAAP knowledge.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, full-cycle accounting proficiency, and collaboration across teams. A background check may be run after a conditional offer, where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in full-cycle accounting.
• Strong Excel skills for Staff Accountant duties.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Proficiency in full-cycle accounting, including financial reporting and month-end close.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards as Staff Accountant.
• Excel usage: must be strong with Excel functions.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, review and post journal entries, and monitor transactions for completeness and accuracy.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee AP/AR processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, and customer collections as Staff Accountant.
• Month-end and Year-end Close: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, coordinating with other teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to develop annual budgets and forecasts, monitor performance, and provide variance analysis as Staff Accountant.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to support decision-making, identifying trends and opportunities for cost optimization.
• Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing tax returns and support audits, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and liaising with external advisors as needed.
