Job summary

All-American Shutters & Glass in Florida seeks a Staff Accountant to ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting and support decision-making in a construction-focused environment. You will handle project accounting, AIA billing, and month-end close within a growing fenestration and hurricane protection company.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years in construction accounting, strong Excel and ERP experience, and a proactive approach to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance is required.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience in construction-related fields.
• Hands-on with AIA pay applications and construction billing.
• Familiarity with month-end close processes and GAAP.
• Knowledge of retainage, progress billing and job costing in construction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process AIA payment applications and related docs.
• Reconcile subcontractor invoices, payments, and retainage.
• Assist month-end and year-end close with journal entries.
• Maintain and reconcile General Ledger and accounts.
• Reconcile bank, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts.
• Process vendor invoices with proper coding and timing.
• Ensure compliance with billing terms and contract requirements.
• Support audits with schedules and documentation.
• Assist cash management, forecasting, and analysis.
• Identify process improvements and internal controls.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
