Job summary

All American Shutters & Glass is seeking a Staff Accountant in Florida to ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting and support operational decisions. The role emphasizes project accounting, AIA billing, and accurate month-end close processes.

The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years in construction-related accounting, solid Excel and ERP experience, and a meticulous approach to maintaining the G/L and vendor payments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• Minimum 3 years in construction or related field.
• Experience with AIA pay applications and project-based accounting.
• Strong Excel skills with pivot tables and lookups.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process AIA payment applications and retainage.
• Process and reconcile subcontractor invoices and payments.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close, including journal entries.
• Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger and bank accounts.
• Verify vendor invoices and coding for timely payment.
• Support audits with schedules and documentation.
• Assist with cash management, forecasting, and analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.
