Job summary

Palmetto State Glass is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate financial records for ongoing projects. You will work with project managers, vendors, and internal teams to issue invoices, process payments, record journal entries, and maintain organized documentation for audits and compliance, in a fast-paced environment.

Strong experience in construction-related accounting and proficiency with QuickBooks or similar software is

• Experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general accounting.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks, Foundation Software, or similar accounting platforms.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full cycle of accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment processing, collections, and reconciliation.
• Process and verify vendor invoices; create/update POs and change orders; enter BOLs and job documents.
• Post journal entries; assist with month-end close and reporting; sustain organized records for audits.
