ITW is seeking a Staff Accountant/Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its accounting team in Chicago. The role blends AR responsibilities with general accounting tasks, including journal entries and month-end close.

You will interact professionally with customers and internal teams to resolve balances and ensure accurate reporting. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in accounting and 2–5 years of experience, with AR and Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, AR preferred.
• Strong grasp of basic accounting principles and GL processes.
• Experience with accounting software and Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable processes and cash posting.
• Communicate with customers regarding balances and payment status.
• Apply payments accurately and timely; monitor aging.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain GL accounts.
• Support month-end and year-end close and reporting.
