Job summary

LHH has partnered with a well-established organization in North County to identify a Staff Accountant for their accounting team. This role offers broad exposure to AR, GL, month-end close, reconciliations and cash management, with opportunities to collaborate across departments.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of accounting experience, ERP experience beyond QuickBooks, and strong Excel skills; bachelor's degree preferred. Manufacturing experience helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent accounting experience considered.
• Experience with AR, GL, month-end close, reconciliations.
• ERP exposure beyond QuickBooks; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounts receivable including billing, cash application, collections, and account maintenance.
• Reconcile cash activity and ensure payments are correctly recorded.
• Prepare daily cash reporting and forecasting information for management.
• Complete journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support month-end close and general ledger maintenance.
• Handle intercompany reconciliations and review sales tax activity.
• Provide backup to AP and assist across billing questions with other departments.
