Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting in a manufacturing setting. The role welcomes recent graduates or professionals with up to three years of experience and offers a hybrid schedule with four days in the office and one day remote from Georgetown, KY.

You will process AP/AR transactions, prepare invoices and journal entries, maintain accounts, perform reconciliations, assist with month-end close, and ensure compliance with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 0-3 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Proficiency in accounting practices.
• Experience with journal entries and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong reconciliation and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with IFRS accounting standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.
• Prepare sales invoices and journal entries.
• Set up and maintain customer and vendor accounts, including vendor banking information.
• Reconcile customer and vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end close activities and preparation of financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures.
