Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Staff Accountant / Accounting Analyst for a direct-hire, on-site role. The position offers a salary range of $65,000–$70,000 with comprehensive benefits and broad exposure to accounting operations across finance, operations, manufacturing, and HR.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with GAAP, journal entries, and month-end close

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred; other candidates considered.
• At least three years of general accounting, AP/AR, or related experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and general accounting practices.
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations and month-end close.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with an ERP or integrated accounting system.
• Manufacturing, inventory, or fixed-asset experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly and annual close activities including journal entries.
• Reconcile general ledger, bank and credit card activity, fixed assets, inventory.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Maintain vendor and customer master data.
• Prepare sales tax filings and supporting documentation.
• Assist with audits, tax reporting, and internal financial reporting.
• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation.
• Coordinate internal-control documentation and identify gaps.
• Provide document-control support for the quality-management system.
• Collaborate with finance, HR, manufacturing, and auditors to ensure accurate reporting.
