Job summary

RemoteHunter is seeking a Staff Accountant for a full-time, remote role serving the United States. The position focuses on accurate accounts payable processing, employee expense reporting, and supporting the full accounting cycle within a public media services environment.

As an entry-level role, you will learn and contribute to month-end close, vendor communications, and reconciliations while using Sage Intacct and Excel. Collaboration with cross-departmental teams is essential for success.

This role is crucial for ensuring accurate financial processing and supporting cross-departmental operations, contributing to the organization’s financial health and compliance.

What You’ll Actually Do

• Manage Accounts Payable: Process invoices accurately and timely by overseeing the accounts payable inbox, creating and maintaining vendor records, supporting 1099 preparation, and routing invoices in Sage Intacct.
• Support Expense Reporting: Manage employee expense report processes, including verification, follow-up, assistance with onboarding/offboarding in systems, and corporate credit card reconciliations.
• Maintain Financial Records: Provide documentation for bank statement and prepaid expense reconciliations, retrieve recurring invoices from portals, and maintain organized financial records.
• AssistMonth‑‑? & Audit: Support monthly profit and loss reviews, contribute to month‑end close activities, and provide necessary documentation and support for year‑end audits.
