Job summary

Professional Search Group is seeking a hands-on Staff Accountant to own day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of 3–4 properties. This role provides full cycle accounting, reporting to internal teams, property managers, and stakeholders, with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of accounting experience, real estate or property accounting preferred, and a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance.

Professional Search Group (PSG) is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our clients accounting team and take ownership of the day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of approximately 3–4 properties. This is a hands‑on role where you will be responsible for the full cycle accounting for your assigned properties and work closely with internal teams, property managers, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Handle full cycle accounting for a portfolio of 3–4 properties
• Prepare monthly financial statements and property-level financial reports
• Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activity
• Assist with month-end and year-end close
• Review property expenses and maintain accurate general ledger activity
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis as needed
• Work with property management teams to resolve accounting questions and discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records
• Assist with audits and other accounting projects as needed

Qualifications

• Property accounting or real estate accounting experience preferred
• Experience with full cycle accounting and month-end close
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliations
• Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlinesStrong attention to detail and organizational skills
