Job summary

6 Degrees Group is seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to manage the financials for a portfolio of 5–8 properties. You will own the monthly close, cash reconciliations, and financial reporting while partnering with property managers and operations teams.

This role requires working in the office several days per week and offers ownership over your portfolio in a fast-paced real estate environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of property management accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly operating financial statements for a portfolio of properties, including cash tracking, bank reconciliations, and monitoring of critical expenses.
• Calculate, record, and monitor accruals and prepaid expenses; maintain accurate general ledger records within property management accounting software.
• Work closely with Property Managers to provide financial reporting support and resolve accounting issues through pre-close and close activities.
• Support audits, internal reviews, and management inquiries as needed.

You’ll own the monthly close process, cash reconciliations, and financial reporting for 5–8 properties while working closely with property managers and operations teams.
