Job summary

Gateway Group Personnel is seeking a Staff Accountant to support a multi-entity accounting environment and dedicated owner reporting for third-party properties. You will handle general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and work-order billing while administering credit card programs.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 3+ years of related experience, with proficiency in Excel and familiarity with property management platforms

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3+ years of general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation experience
• Strong reconciliation, analytical, and month-end close skills
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work across multiple entities and deadlines
• Property management, real estate, or multi-entity accounting experience preferred
• Experience with a property management accounting platform (Yardi, RealPage, or similar) preferred
• QuickBooks experience is a significant plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements, supporting schedules, and assigned owner reporting
• Perform general ledger accounting, journal entries, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close activities
• Manage bookkeeping and financial reporting for an assigned portfolio of third-party properties and other entities
• Administer work order billing and related accounting processes
• Administer company credit card programs, including transaction review, coding, documentation, reconciliation, and reporting
• Maintain accurate accounting records and reporting within the company's property accounting platform
• Support audit, tax, process improvement, and special projects as assigned

Job description

The Staff Accountant supports a multi-entity accounting environment through accurate general ledger accounting, timely financial reporting, and disciplined account reconciliation. This position serves as the dedicated accounting owner for an assigned group of third-party managed properties and related entities, handling the associated bookkeeping, owner reporting, work order billing, and administration of company credit card programs. The role also supports department-wide month-end close.
