Job summary

CFS is seeking a Staff Accountant in New York to own full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial real estate properties. You will prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly financial statements, while coordinating with property managers and leadership on financial performance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field required.
• 3+ years of commercial real estate or property accounting experience desired.
• Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial real estate properties.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and monthly financial statements.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, lease administration, and CAM reconciliations.
• Partner with property managers and leadership to support reporting and performance initiatives.
• Assist with onboarding new properties and accounting process improvements.
