Job summary

Professional Search Group is seeking a hands-on Staff Accountant to own day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of 3–4 properties. This role provides full cycle accounting, reporting to internal teams, property managers, and stakeholders, with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of accounting experience, real estate or property accounting preferred, and a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Property or real estate accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with month-end close.
• Strong general ledger accounting and reconciliations.
• Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle full cycle accounting for a portfolio of 3–4 properties.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and property-level reports.
• Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activity.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close.
• Review property expenses and maintain accurate GL activity.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
