Ledgent, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to support project accounting, job cost analysis, and financial reporting. You will collaborate with Project Managers to monitor project performance, maintain accurate WIP schedules, and ensure timely financial reporting from our Phoenix office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction.
• Experience with WIP reporting and job costing.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Sage, Viewpoint or Foundation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules.
• Partner with Project Managers to review budgets, job costs, change orders, and project profitability.
• Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities.
• Track job costs, retainage, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.
• Analyze project variances and assist with forecasting and reporting.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with company accounting policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction.
• Knowledge of WIP reporting, job costing, and construction accounting principles.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Sage, Viewpoint, Foundation, or similar construction accounting software preferred.
