Ledgent Finance & Accounting is helping a Southern California design-build and real estate development company find an Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, and project accounting across multiple active construction projects. The role reports to the CEO, overseeing AP/AR, GL, and monthly close, with a focus on project budgets and profitability.

Strong Mandarin, Excel, and QuickBooks skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• QuickBooks experience required.
• Strong month-end close and financial reporting.
• Fluent Mandarin Chinese.
• Senior Accountant ready to move into management.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Construction/real estate development industry experience is a plus.
• Self-starter who can work independently with minimal guidance.

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, general ledger, and reconciliations.
• Manage month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, and cash flow forecasting.
• Prepare financial statements and provide reporting and insights to executive leadership.
• Monitor project budgets, job costs, profitability, subcontractor payments, and project financial performance.
• Develop budgets, financial forecasts, and recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
• Partner with leadership on strategic financial decision-making and process improvements.
• Supervise and mentor an Accounting Clerk while helping build scalable accounting processes.
