Responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and job cost accounting functions
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Analyze project costs, monitor budgets, and support project managers with financial reporting
- Help ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
- Support external audits and provide requested documentation
- Review and analyze general ledger activity to identify discrepancies and resolve issues
- Collaborate with operations and project teams to provide financial insights and reporting support
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Prior experience in construction, contractor, project-based, or related industries preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups
- Experience working within a large ERP system
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to perform detailed financial and numerical analysis
Preferred Experience:
- Job cost accounting
- Construction accounting
- Work‑in‑progress (WIP) reporting
- Progress billing and lien release documentation
- Payroll or certified payroll exposure
- Experience with systems such as Sage, Foundation, Vista/Viewpoint, CMiC, or similar construction ERP platforms

- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
