Job summary

LHH is partnering with a well-established construction-focused firm in California seeking a Senior Accountant to support multi-entity operations, manage the month-end close, reconciliations, cash activity, intercompany accounting, and full-cycle accounts receivable oversight.

You will lead bank reconciliations, prepare journal entries, and assist with audits while partnering with operations and leadership to ensure accurate reporting and strong cash flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 4+ years of accounting experience required.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and general ledger experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead bank reconciliations, cash activity, and treasury-related accounting.
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end close and financial reporting.
• Manage full accounts receivable process including billing, cash application, collections, and aging analysis.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting schedules.
• Handle intercompany transactions across multiple entities.
• Support job cost accounting and project-related financial activities.
• Assist with audits, compliance requirements, and process improvements.
• Partner with operations and leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and strong cash flow management.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Construction, real estate, or multi-entity accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting
• Experience managing accounts receivable, billing, and collections
• Advanced Excel skills
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Vista Viewpoint software experience (non-negotiable)
