Position Overview:

Are you bilingual in English and Spanish with a knack for numbers? As a Staff Accountant, you will support the daily and weekly needs of the Accounting/Finance team. We seek a motivated, self-starter who prioritizes attention to detail and accuracy. The Staff Accountant must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information, so trustworthiness is essential, along with strong verbal and written communication skills in a team-oriented environment.

Location: United States - This role is 100% remote anywhere in the US, with a preference for the Eastern time zone.

Reports to: Finance Manager

What you’ll be working on:

1. Provide support to various finance functions.
2. Implement systems, software, processes, & procedures.
3. Maintain controls over all accounting transactions.
4. Assist with issuing timely and accurate monthly financial statements.
5. Ensure clients are invoiced timely and accurately.
6. Apply client payments.
7. Ensure timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations.
8. Assist with annual audit requests.
9. Comply with local, state, and federal reporting and tax filings.
10. Perform ad hoc reporting and support special projects as needed.
11. Maintain a customer service mindset to ensure all internal and external customers are satisfied.

What you bring to the role:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (fluent in both oral and written).
• Experience with billing is required.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Commitment to error-free work.
• Accounting degree or current studies toward a relevant qualification.
• High proficiency in Excel.
• Experience working with multi-entity, multi-currency organizations.
• Experience with international groups and IFRS is a plus.
• Ability to work remotely.
• At least 2+ years of progressively responsible experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Positive attitude, self-motivated, able to work independently or in a team.

• Familiarity with SAGE Intacct software.
• Experience with international groups and IFRS.
