Overview
Orange County based financial services leader is seeking a Staff Accountant
$65-75K DOE plus bonus and highly competitive benefit package
We are only targeting candidates that are local to Southern California
Base pay range
$65,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
- Prepares and records month end closing entries for various entities within the organization, reconcile accounts and book related elimination and adjustment entries for the consolidated financials.
- Reviews and reconciles fixed assets roll-forward schedules at the consolidated level. Prepare and upload the fixed asset historical rate tables to the financial reporting system, and record the necessary adjustments based on historical rates for foreign subsidiaries.
- Reviews trial balances for parent company and various subsidiaries.
- Utilizes the financial reporting system to validate data integrity and accuracy, provide reporting and distribution of consolidated reports, including trail balances, account details & analyses for management.
- Generates and creates accounting reports and supporting detail for Tax Department.
- Prepares and reviews footnote disclosures and schedules submitted by the foreign and local entities as part of the annual audit process.
- Assists on various projects throughout the year and performs ad hoc reporting, as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
- 1-3+ years of progressive accounting experience in Public Accounting/private industry
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel (including pivots and VLOOKUP)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, detail oriented, and self-motivated team-player, able to multi-task and work with other staff and departments to ensure deadlines are met
- Global consolidation and elimination experience a plus
- JD Edwards EnterpriseOne experience a plus
