Ledgent is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team in Sacramento. The role focuses on journal entries, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting, with broader support across departments.

The ideal candidate will have a solid GAAP foundation, 2+ years of accounting experience, and proficiency with ERP systems and Excel. Compensation ranges from 75k–80k DOE, with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and general accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP software and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
• Analyze financial data and investigate variances.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Prepare financial reports and schedules for management review.
• Assist with audits by gathering documentation and responding to auditor requests.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
