Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced accountant to join their team in Denver, Colorado. This position involves managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing journal entries, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies. Job Details

Pay: $62,500 - $75,000 per year.

Employer: A growing food and beverage retail organization actively expanding in Denver.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, cash applications, and collections follow‑up.
• Prepare and post daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close activities.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger accounts.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and GAAP.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and other accounting projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with an ERP system such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience assisting with month‑end close.
• Exposure to financial statement preparation.
