RethinkFirst is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. This role supports day-to-day accounting, month-end close, and audits while upholding GAAP in a remote-friendly environment.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 2–3 years of experience, strong Excel and ERP experience (Sage Intacct), and excellent communication. Remote opportunities are available to the U.S. and GA residents.

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance with 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Experience with Sage Intacct ERP preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate with senior management.

Responsabilidades

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities including bank reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Assist month-end close with balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors with requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with policies, internal controls, and GAAP.

We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. This will be a key role in our accounting function.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards

Qualifications & Skills

• Preferred undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, with 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills (ability to create pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions)
• Experience with ERP system like Sage Intacct preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational skills, and ability to multi‑task.
• Ability to work independently on deliverables to achieve accurate results.
• Ability to prioritize conflicting demands and maintain excellent communication regarding deliverables.
• Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with members of the senior management team and others within the Company
