RethinkFirst is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting and finance team in a remote-friendly environment. You will manage the full AP cycle, process invoices, and ensure accurate GL coding in Sage Intacct while liaising with vendors and internal departments.

The role requires 3–5 years of AP experience, strong Excel skills, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. We offer comprehensive benefits and a remote-first culture with national reach.

• Match invoices to PO and receiving docs with proper approvals.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies promptly.
• Communicate with employees, vendors, and internal teams on AP questions.
• Reconcile AP-related GL accounts and assist with month-end close.

We are currently seeking an A/P Specialist to join our accounting and finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full-cycle AP function, including monitoring the AP inbox and entering invoices in Sage Intacct with accurate GL coding.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation while ensuring proper approvals are obtained.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Communicate with employees, vendors, and internal departments about AP-related questions.
• Reconcile AP-related general ledger accounts and assist with month-end close activities.
• Review and process employee expense reports and corporate credit card transactions.
• Serve as the point person for our procurement tool, including user support and approval workflow maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
• Assist with audit requests and provide AP documentation as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and increase efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 3–5 years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience; bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and general accounting practices.
• Advanced Excel skills (ability to create pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions).
• Experience with an ERP system such as Sage Intacct preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently on deliverables to achieve accurate results.
• Ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
