Job summary

RethinkFirst, a leader in behavioral health technology, seeks an A/P Specialist to join our accounting and finance team. This remote-first role supports the full AP lifecycle, including invoices, PO matching, and month-end close, with emphasis on accuracy and process improvement.

You will collaborate across departments, handle expense reports and procurement tool administration, and help maintain internal controls. A proactive, detail-oriented candidate with 3–5 years of AP experience is ideal.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience; bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and strong analytical abilities.
• Experience with an ERP system such as Sage Intacct is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle AP function, including monitoring the AP inbox and entering invoices in Sage Intacct with accurate GL coding.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation while ensuring proper approvals.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Communicate with employees, vendors, and internal departments about AP-related questions.
• Reconcile AP-related general ledger accounts and assist with month-end close activities.
• Review and process employee expense reports and corporate credit card transactions.
• Serve as the point person for our procurement tool, including user support and approval workflow maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
• Assist with audit requests and provide AP documentation as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and increase efficiency.

• Advanced Excel skills (ability to create pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions).

• Experience with an ERP system such as Sage Intacct preferred.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational skills, and ability to multitask.

• Ability to work independently on deliverables to achieve accurate results.

• Ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
