Job summary

Douglas County School District in Lone Tree, CO seeks an Educational Assistant IV to provide intensive, individualized support to students with Significant Support Needs, under the direction of a licensed special education teacher.

The role covers health and safety monitoring, mobility help, IEP-focused instruction across settings, and collaboration with staff to promote student independence while maintaining a structured classroom.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with significant cognitive or physical disabilities preferred.
• Ability to monitor health care procedures and provide basic first aid with training.
• Ability to assist with personal care, toileting, and mobility with appropriate training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with student positioning, transferring, and mobility using specialized equipment.
• Monitor delegated health care procedures and basic first aid per training.
• Maintain a safe learning environment and supervise transitions and mealtimes.
• Support IEP goals and functional/life skills across settings.
• Assist with daily living activities including dressing, feeding, toileting.
