Douglas County School District is seeking an Educational Assistant (EA IV) for the Significant Support Needs (SSN) program at Rock Canyon High School. You will work under a licensed SPED teacher to deliver intensive, individualized support for students with complex cognitive and physical needs.

The role emphasizes assisting with IEP goals, daily living skills, communication, and safety. Qualifications include a high school diploma and the ability to follow health plans with fidelity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to follow IEPs and health plans with fidelity.
• Willingness to assist students with personal care and mobility with training.

Responsibilities

• Support IEP goals across settings in collaboration with the SPED teacher.
• Assist SSN students in daily living and functional skills.
• Provide communication support using sign language, PECS, or AAC.
• Ensure safety during transitions, meals, and bus/arrival times.
