Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Site Reliability Engineering in Denver to lead and grow a team responsible for foundational Linux platforms powering Akamai's Compute services.

You will drive technical direction, manage complex incidents, and collaborate with hardware, product, and operations teams to ensure reliable, scalable platforms in a high‑availability environment.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
• Extensive experience with Linux internals and systems administration.
• Understanding of computer architecture and server hardware interactions with OSes.
• Proven track record for improving reliability, performance, and security at scale.
• Strong cross-team communication and collaborative decision making.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineering leads and Linux platform engineers.
• Set technical direction and priorities for the team balancing reliability, security, and scalability.
• Drive engineering projects from requirements through deployment.
• Partner with hardware, product, operations, and other engineering teams to deliver reliable Compute platforms.
• Improve observability, automation, and incident response to reduce disruptions.
