Akamai Technologies, Inc. in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Manager Site Reliability Engineering to lead a Linux platform team responsible for kernel, OS, KVM/QEMU virtualization, and guest images within Akamai's Compute platforms.

You will drive technical direction, mentor technical leads, and partner with hardware, product, operations, and engineering to deliver reliable, scalable systems while improving observability and incident response.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience with Linux platforms and systems administration.
• Experience leading engineering teams and mentoring tech leads.
• Strong collaboration across hardware, product, operations, and engineering.
• Ability to improve reliability, performance, security, and maintainability at scale.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technical leads and Linux platform engineers.
• Set technical direction and priorities balancing platform evolution, reliability, and security.
• Drive projects from requirements through deployment.
• Partner with hardware, product, operations, and engineering teams to deliver scalable Compute platforms.
• Improve observability, automation, and ops practices to reduce incidents.
• Lead investigation and resolution of complex service-impacting issues and support on-call.
