Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Manager Site Reliability Engineering to lead a team responsible for Linux platform engineering powering Akamai's Compute products.

You will set technical direction, drive initiatives across observability, automation, and reliability, and partner with hardware and product teams to scale our cloud platforms. The role requires 8+ years of leadership, deep Linux expertise, and virtualization experience.

Competenze

• 8+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• Strong background in Linux and kernel internals.
• Experience with virtualization (KVM/QEMU) and cloud platforms.

Mansioni

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technical leads and Linux platform engineers.
• Set technical direction balancing platform evolution, reliability, and security.
• Drive projects from requirements and design through implementation, validation, and deployment.
• Collaborate with hardware, product, operations, and engineering teams to deliver reliable and scalable Compute platforms.
• Improve observability, automation, and operational practices to reduce service disruptions and accelerate incident resolution.
• Lead the investigation and resolution of complex, service-impacting issues and support incident response and on-call operations.
