Job summary

TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC is seeking a Systems and Networking Engineer to ensure the seamless operation of TikTok's US physical infrastructure. You will help provision physical servers, manage networks, and collaborate with vendors to uphold compliance and security across the US region.

The role emphasizes on-call production operations, incident management, and driving automation and tooling to minimize manual intervention while coordinating with global teams and internal middleware services.

Qualifications

• Proficient in one or more programming languages (Python, Go, Java, C++).
• Strong understanding of Linux OS and open-source technologies.
• Experience in network architecture, troubleshooting, cloud systems, and large-scale distributed systems.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana), AIOPS, APM, DR.
• Experience in designing, analyzing, and building automation for large-scale systems.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, and other cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Drive infrastructure automation and tooling for efficient operation and monitoring of global infrastructure.
• Collaborate on service lifecycle management with engineering teams from inception to refinement.
• Ensure service reliability and performance through monitoring, testing, and incident management.
• Execute core SRE practices including on-call duties, change management, capacity planning, and disaster recovery.
