Job summary

Talantir is seeking a Remote Senior Voice Network Engineer to design, implement, and support voice and unified communications systems. You’ll collaborate with networking, systems administration, and IT teams, while working with vendors and customers to support rural carriers.

The ideal candidate has five or more years in voice network engineering with switch translation experience in the last decade, plus experience with Class 5 or softswitch platforms, VoIP, and hosted PBX.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of engineering experience required.
• Switch translation experience within the last ten years required.
• Experience with Class 5 or softswitch voice platforms required.
• Experience with modern VoIP platforms and hosted PBX systems required.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement voice systems (IP telephony, UC, and contact center solutions).
• Configure and maintain telephony infrastructure.
• Maintain and optimize voice network infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance and evaluate system capacity.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues impacting call quality, connectivity, etc.
• Implement and support security best practices to safeguard systems and data.
• Assist with planning for scalability and enhancements.
• Maintain thorough documentation of configurations, processes, and system changes.
• Manage relationships with vendors
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support ongoing operational needs

Base Salary: $100,000-$130,000 + Quarterly Bonus Potential
