Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition.
• Experience reviewing contracts and documenting technical accounting conclusions.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Excellent analytical and research skills.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review customer contracts and evaluate revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Analyze complex or non-standard revenue arrangements and determine appropriate accounting treatment.
• Prepare technical accounting memos and supporting documentation.
• Evaluate contract modifications, variable consideration, performance obligations, and transaction price considerations.
• Support month-end and quarter-end revenue accounting activities.
• Prepare and review revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with revenue-related financial statement disclosures.
• Support internal and external audit requests related to revenue recognition.

We are partnering with a large, fast-growing organization seeking a Technical Accounting Senior for a 6-month contract engagement. This role will focus heavily on ASC 606 revenue recognition, including contract review, technical accounting research, revenue analysis, and documentation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical accounting foundation who enjoys working through complex revenue arrangements and partnering with accounting, finance, legal, and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Review customer contracts and evaluate revenue recognition under ASC 606
• Analyze complex or non-standard revenue arrangements and determine appropriate accounting treatment
• Prepare technical accounting memos and supporting documentation
• Evaluate contract modifications, variable consideration, performance obligations, and transaction price considerations
• Support month-end and quarter-end revenue accounting activities
• Prepare and review revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Assist with revenue-related financial statement disclosures
• Support internal and external audit requests related to revenue recognition
• Partner cross-functionally to understand contractual terms and their accounting implications
• Assist with improvements to revenue accounting processes, controls, and documentation

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition
• Experience reviewing contracts and documenting technical accounting conclusions

Preferred Experience

• CPA or progress toward CPA
• Public accounting experience
• Experience supporting large, complex, or rapidly growing organizations
