Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain customer contracts within the company’s financial system based on contract terms.
  • Perform risk assessments of contract terms to identify potential impacts.
  • Partner with internal project teams to ensure contracts are structured appropriately for revenue recognition.
  • Assist with monthly revenue close activities, including preparation of journal entries and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure processes are followed.
  • Assist with monthly revenue close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Review transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Analyze variable consideration (discounts, rebates, penalties, etc.) and impact on revenue recognition.
  • Assist with audit support and documentation requests.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure processes are followed and deadlines are met.

A global professional services organization is seeking a Staff Accountant – Revenue to support contract setup, revenue recognition, and revenue accounting processes. This position will partner with project and finance teams to ensure accurate contract configuration, compliance with accounting standards, and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain customer contracts within the company’s financial system based on contract terms and conditions
  • Perform risk assessments of contract terms to identify potential financial or operational impacts
  • Partner with internal project teams to ensure contracts are structured appropriately for revenue recognition and billing requirements
  • Support post-contract activities, including contract modifications, change orders, and contract closeout
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and internal controls related to contract and revenue processes
  • Assist with monthly revenue close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Review transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Analyze variable consideration (discounts, rebates, penalties, etc.) and determine impact on revenue recognition
  • Assist with audit support and documentation requests
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure processes are followed and deadlines are met
