Ladders is seeking a Sr. Staff Engineer, Care (Fullstack/Backend) to lead the architecture of customer-facing care systems in a remote, senior leadership capacity.

This role partners with engineering and business leaders to translate customer needs into durable technical solutions, elevate engineering standards, and strengthen practices across multiple teams. The position focuses on shaping scalable architectures, mentoring leaders, and driving clarity in ambiguous situations while delivering

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with group-level technical leadership.
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, or Go, with system design for scale.
• Full-stack experience with React, Next, GraphQL.
• Experience scaling shared infrastructure across teams.
• Proficiency in CI/CD workflows, including CircleCI and GitHub, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to drive architectural clarity and strategic alignment across functions.
• Experience translating customer needs into high-impact technical solutions.

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Staff Engineer, Care (Fullstack/Backend) to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This is a senior technical leadership role focused on shaping the architecture of customer-facing systems that must scale reliably and support a high-quality care experience. You will partner closely with engineering and business leaders to turn customer needs into durable technical solutions. The role calls for someone who can bring clarity to ambiguous problems, elevate technical standards, and strengthen engineering practices across multiple teams.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 annually
