Ladders is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to design and build scalable backend systems in a cloud-native environment. You will partner with Product and Architecture to deliver reliable services, own service health, incidents, and engineering standards, while mentoring others.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of software development experience with object-oriented languages such as Java or C#.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and scalable software architecture.
• At least 1 year of experience with relational databases.
• Experience in cloud environments such as AWS, including microservices and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proven ability to maintain automated test suites at multiple levels.
• Experience optimizing performance in large-scale distributed systems.

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.
This role will focus on designing and building scalable backend systems that support large-scale user experiences in a cloud-native environment. You will partner closely with Product and Architecture teams to deliver reliable services, shape technical direction, and improve platform performance. The position also includes ownership of service health, incident response, and engineering standards that help the broader team execute with quality and speed.
Location: Remote
Compensation: $125,000 – $150,000 annually
