Ladders is seeking a Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering to lead software delivery across multiple agile teams in a healthcare-focused organization. This remote leadership role emphasizes quality, execution, and technical alignment with business partners.

The ideal candidate will coach engineering managers and Scrum teams, advance modern practices including cloud, microservices, and AI-enabled development, and drive collaboration across technology and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years IT experience in a matrixed environment.
• 5+ years managing diverse technologies incl. Mainframe, Java, Springboot.
• 3+ years leading projects and direct reports.
• 3+ years in enterprise application architecture, API development, and microservices.
• 2+ years Cloud (Azure, GCP, AWS).
• 2+ years using AI technology (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude AI).

Responsibilities

• Oversee risk assessment processes and resolve delivery issues.
• Conduct performance evaluations and foster a collaborative environment.
• Manage a subdomain of 2-3 scrum teams for quality software delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align priorities and address conflicts.
• Investigate emerging software technologies and integrate best practices.
• Lead scrum team members using JIRA and other tools.
• Drive AI-enabled transformations and establish best practices for technical execution.

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This leadership role will oversee software delivery across multiple agile teams, with a strong focus on quality, execution, and technical alignment. The ideal candidate will guide engineering managers and scrum teams through delivery challenges while fostering collaboration across technology and business partners. This position also plays a key role in advancing modern engineering practices, including cloud, microservices, and AI-enabled development.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $106,605 – $284,280 annually
