Ladders is seeking a Staff Engineer, Data Platform to lead the design and evolution of scalable data platform services and backend systems across the organization. This role focuses on distributed systems, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure while driving reliability and technical excellence.

Remote position with collaboration across teams to deliver practical, high-impact solutions and set technical standards for consistency and quality across critical initiatives.

• Strong backend and systems engineering skills, including API design.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, including scalability and fault tolerance.

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Engineer, Data Platform to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will own the design and evolution of scalable data platform services and backend systems that support multiple teams across the organization. You will work across distributed systems, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure while helping drive consistency, reliability, and technical excellence. The position also partners closely with engineering teams to identify shared needs, deliver practical solutions, and improve the foundation that powers critical technology initiatives.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $157,800 – $300,600 annually

• Own the design and evolution of scalable platform services and backend systems
