Project Manager - Business Intelligence (BI) & Data Analytics

Position Summary

Vaco is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate Business Intelligence (BI), reporting, analytics, and data-focused initiatives. This role is responsible for driving project execution, facilitating communication among stakeholders, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring successful delivery of business and technology objectives.

This is a hybrid position located in downtown Cincinnati. 3 days onsite, 2 days work from home.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication and coordination skills. The Project Manager will serve as the central point of contact between business leaders, technical teams, and project stakeholders, ensuring priorities, timelines, and deliverables remain aligned throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of Business Intelligence, reporting, analytics, and data-related projects.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, leadership teams, analysts, developers, and subject matter experts to define project objectives and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, meeting notes, action items, risk logs, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate project schedules, milestones, dependencies, and resource requirements to ensure timely delivery.
• Facilitate project meetings, stakeholder reviews, and progress updates.
• Monitor project risks, issues, and roadblocks, escalating concerns as needed and driving resolution.
• Track project progress and deliverables using Azure DevOps and other project management tools.
• Ensure effective communication across technical and non-technical teams.
• Maintain project governance standards and reporting requirements.
• Support change management efforts and user adoption activities related to project deliverables.
• Prepare executive-level status updates and presentations for leadership stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of Project Management experience leading technology, data, analytics, or reporting initiatives.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Proven experience creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
• Exceptional organizational, planning, and coordination skills.
• Experience managing project timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Strong meeting facilitation and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience utilizing Azure DevOps for project tracking, work management, status reporting, and coordination of deliverables.
• Experience supporting Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Warehouse, Reporting, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or similar data initiatives.
• Knowledge of data and reporting project lifecycles.
• PMP or other professional project management certification is a plus.
