Job summary

UC Health Cincinnati is seeking an Accounts/Revenue Cycle professional to check unpaid claim status electronically or by phone, and to work with third-party carriers to pursue prompt payments across payer classes.

You will collaborate with other departments to drive payer collections, communicate process issues, and contribute to revenue cycle performance through productivity, quality reviews, and project work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in medical billing and/or collections.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Account Management; check for unpaid claim status electronically or by phone.
• Work with third party carriers or intermediaries.
• Follow standard Operating Departmental Procedures to pursue prompt payment of hospital claims for assigned financial classes and Payors.
• Collaborate with other departments to drive payer collections, communicating process issues and improvements to the Patient Account Lead.
• Revenue Cycle Performance, Productivity, Quality Reviews, Training and Self Development, Project Work, Other Duties.
